Fanciful designs and diverse formatting set this group of Washington DC press pins apart from the norm. Each of these (3) MLB All-Star Game pins was designed to be worn in differing fashion.

The most distinct and distinguished of the trio is a 1956 example with a relief image of long-time Senators team owner Clark Griffith. The ornate obverse centers the brass relief of the "Old Fox" over a baseball and crossed bats background with a die-cut cap on top of the Capitol Dome. Gold lettering on the blue perimeter touts the event as the "Clark Griffith Memorial All Star Game", as the legendary HOFer passed a year earlier in 1955. Formatted in traditional style with a threaded post and screw down fastener, this prime souvenir shows abundant original detail to rate as (NM).

Fitted in charm style with a hoop attachment at top, the 1962 issue is a match for its fairly recent predecessor, with a relief Capitol Dome set atop a blue star in the middle of a baseball background. This elegant enamel classic is bright and gleaming with minor wear that sets it at the desirable (EX-MT) level and is finished off with a banner box that reads The National Game From The Nation's Capital".

Rounding out this triumphant triumvirate is a 1969 model it the form of a tie-pin with needle post and clasp with chain. Once again brass relief comes into play, as this oval shaped pin features a raised DC Stadium ringed in blue with gold lettering that reads "Professional Baseball's 100th Anniversary", while the stadium rim is embossed with "1969 All Star Game". Again detail quality runs high as this worthy example reports at the (EX-MT+) level.
