Goldbugs feel the lure of this antique gold piece. With an estimated survival population of just 2,250 this 1903-S Liberty Head $10 Gold Eagle coin ranks near the upper end of the Very Scarce level on the Rarity Chart. Minted in San Francisco in an original quantity of 538,000 pieces, this 90% gold, 16.70 grams coin has been encapsulated by PCGS with a Genuine designation and Cleaning-UNC Details modifiers. This gleaming specimen shows desirable luster and abundant detail definition as noted on the label by the "UNC (uncirculated) Details" notation, and if not for the "Cleaning" notation it probably would have graded well into the Mint State range.
