In 2003, ESPN's "World Series 100th Anniversary" countdown ranked 1991 as the greatest Fall Classic in history! Before the seventh game, people were already discussing the series as one of the best in baseball history. The classic game cemented the legacy of the battle even further as John Smoltz and series MVP Jack Morris battled with Morris refusing to yield and the stalemate finally ending with unlikely hero Gene Larkin coming up with the game winning hit, scoring Gladden and somehow vaunting the ragtag Minnesota club to a title. This $25 Pavilion ticket from that game is encapsulated and graded GD 2 by PSA but does feature clear event details, vibrant colors and nice perforation.
