Both the Minnesota Twins and the Texas Rangers once played ball in the Nation’s capital as members of the AL. Maybe the third time will be the charm as DC denizens now have an NL team to follow that hopefully will stick around.


Let’s remember those first two franchises with this collection of Washington Senators scorecards and programs. Dating from the period 1949-1966, this well-preserved assortment spans the transition of the first and second franchises to call DC home.
