William Hulbert died in 1882, and his signature has always been revered as one of the virtually impossible key rarities among all Hall of Famers. A chance to own a rare cut signature from Hulbert is now yours with this cut signature. Mounted to an album page, the approximate 4x2 cut presents ("9") with deference to the fact that his middle initial (A.) of the signature has been removed. The reverse of the album page has the cut signature ("9") of Detroit automobile businessman Hugh Chalmers (d.1932), who came up with the idea of an MVP at the end of the year in baseball. A must have for baseball autograph collectors. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $6000-$10000). Full photo LOA from JSA.
