Famed both on and off the field, “Broadway Joe” Namath earned his nickname by showing off his flashy nature in a variety of endeavors. One his many ventures was a clothing campaign in league with leading shirt brand Arrow, represented by this trio of vintage 1970s items with Namath written all over them.
Namath is depicted at the height of fashion in a photo on a shirt box lid. This photo of the Jets QB has him wearing a tuxedo and bowtie on an Arrow original box containing a ruffled blue formal shirt. Though the box shows creasing around the periphery, it remains appealing with the photo only lightly impacted. The shirt appears unused with a period price tag attached to the collar label and is stored in a bag printed with “The Arrow Collar Man” and a facsimile Namath signature. Also present is a “Joe Namath Signature Collection” promotional card in (VG) condition with a sharp photo.
Next up is a heavy translucent acrylic sign measuring approximately 36x12. This rhombus shaped sign is well-preserved with white and yellow lettering on a green field. This sign is very solid and serviceable with two pre-drilled holes near the top edge. The lettering reads “Joe Namath signature collection by Arrow” and is nearly full with just a few scratches on the name “Joe”.
Rounding out this group is an art print in excellent condition with minimal traces of wear. Namath is depicted in an oval shaped portrait surrounded by a green field on a stretched canvass measuring 18x24.
